For nearly twenty years, each February we’ve busted out our dancing shoes and party decorations to host the “Sweetheart Valentine Dance.” Each and every year the event has continued to draw a large crowd from around the community. One thing about hosting a gathering in Mid-February however is the uncertainty of the weather. On several occasions over the last two decades, Mother Nature has forced us to postpone the festivities, and during one particular two-day blizzard we had to cancel it altogether. In an effort to have one less variable in the equation, we’ve opted to push the fun back by a few weeks. It’ll be the same event… just a new name and date!

BONUS: Having a few extra weeks to prep for the dance will allow us time to download even more Taylor Swift songs to add to the playlist!

The “Spring Fling” is all about providing girls the chance to have some fun and feel special with their own “night out.” The evening will include plenty of music and dancing, decorations and party favors to take home, an assortment of hors d’ouevres and a bevy of sweets and treats.

Lots of times these sorts of events are referred to as a “Father-Daughter Dance.” While dads and daughters make up the bulk of our guest list, we also realize not every girl has a father who is able to attend. Thus, girls are welcome to bring any “special guy” in their life, weather it’s a grandfather, uncle, mom’s boyfriend, etc., etc., etc. The bottom line is providing girls with the opportunity to have a special evening, and we want every girl to feel welcomed and part of the fun!
