Bringing the Community Together

Dear Neighbor,

“What is this place? I’ve never experienced anything like it. You’re all so welcoming!” This was a comment recently made by a woman in the building. She was reacting to the warm biscuits, butter, jam and fruit we offered during an early morning half marathon. We were the host site for the race. A board member volunteering in the kitchen simply replied, “We’re The Neighborhood House. We’re the community center. This is just what we do!”

What we do is straightforward. We bring the community together. Our programs and variety of offerings make The Neighborhood House the cornerstone of our community. We strive to exceed expectations. We love what we do and the role we serve and we hope it shows.

Want to be a part of this work? Your financial investment allows us to offer all that we do. A BBQ for over 400? No problem. A Community Café serving 185 lunches? Got it covered. Nearly 75 kids enrolled in summer camp each day? We’re staffed and ready. Homemade hot fudge for 250 at the Bike Parade? Coming right up! In need of a place to hold a wedding reception, memorial service, or birthday party? Look no further!

Your gift is important - no matter the size. I understand you have many options when it comes to charitable giving. I hope you will strongly consider The Neighborhood House. Our success can be chalked up to the individuals, businesses and foundations, who support what we do.

I invite you to visit The Neighborhood House. We truly are everybody’s other home in town. Who knows, we may even have a warm biscuit for you.

Warm regards,

George Grohs, President
