2023 Halloween Treat Truck

The Neighborhood House “Halloween Treat Truck” will hit the road once again on Tuesday, Oct. 31. The idea started over a decade ago when the building was under such heavy use there literally wasn’t enough time in the schedule to set up and decorate for a traditional Halloween party. That’s when the decision to take the trick-or-treating on the road was made, and we’ve never looked back!

Each Halloween, The Neighborhood House’s 15-passenger bus transforms into the “Treat Truck.” After being handsomly appointed with plenty of spooky decor and hundreds of bags of treats, the truck sets course around Mt. Desert making stops in Otter Creek, Seal Harbor, Northeast Harbor, Somesville, and Hall Quarry. Kids of all ages are invited to come pay the Treat Truck a visit at each stop, where it’s all treats and no tricks— everyone leaves with a bag of goodies!

This year’s Treat Truck Schedule is as follows:

4:45pm

Otter Creek (outside O.C. Market)

5:00PM

Seal Harbor Beach

5:25PM

Northeast Harbor Marina

5:50PM

Somesville (Main Street at Pat Foster’s Office)

6:20PM

Hall Quarry Road

6:45PM

Northeast Harbor (Neighborhood House)

Note: If you are trick-or-treating in Somesville, be sure to check out Pat Foster’s Office at 1099 Main Street as well as the Somesville Library for all sorts of spooky fun!
