Best of the Bash

On Thursday, July 12, over 300 guests gathered at Abel's Yacht Yard on Somes Sound for the 3rd Annual Bash at the Boatyard. While the event serves as a fundraiser for The Neighborhood House, it also provides an opportunity to gather and celebrate our community in a fun and laid-back atmosphere.

For the third straight year, the party was held on the shore of Somes Sound with idyllic views of the water and western mountains. Mother Nature cooperated as well, providing a perfect summer evening.

Concert Caps Off Picturesque Day

The weather could not have cooperated more, and it was literally a perfect evening to be outside. In fact, several dozen like minded individuals and families decided just that and joined us. Many even grabbed a quick takeout dinner from one our in-town eateries and made an evening of it.

Old Dog Teaches New Tricks

The first day of camp is a chance for the kids to get to know one and other and get a feel for the daily routine throughout the summer. For the participants in the Quest Club program, if the first day was indication, they're in store for a fantastic summer. The crew started out with a hike around Jordan Pond, and then returned to the kitchen at The Neighborhood House.
