Board Holds Annual Meeting
On the evening of August 13, the Board of Directors of The Neighborhood House gathered for their annual summer meeting. Generously hosted by former Board member Grett Scott and his wife Terri, it once again turned out to be an idyllic evening. The attendees were all familiar with one and other thanks to dozens of Board and committee meetings throughout the year, mostly of the online variety.
This annual tradition serves as one of their few opportunities to gather in person and enjoy each other’s company face-to-face. With a multi-generational group consisting of year-round and seasonal residents, the chance to gather in such a manner goes a long way in building bonds, forging friendships, and strengthening their sense of togetherness in advancing the mission of The Neighborhood House.
Thank you, Axie!
Thank you, George!
Thank you, Kay!
A very nice thanks to the staff.
The festivities also serve as a chance to take stock of all that has been accomplished over the past year and say thank you to those who helped make it happen. This year that included a special thanks to three outgoing Board members, George Grohs, Axie Diana and Kay Graves. From helping raise funds to managing projects around the building or chopping vegetables in prep for a “Community Café,” there are critical tasks, both big and small, that would not get accomplished without this diligent crew. Their care for The Neighborhood House and love for our community are immeasurable
