Dancing The Night Away

On Friday, February 9, The Neighborhood welcomed about 100 very special "guests" for the 16th Annual Sweetheart Valentine Dance. The final touches were put on the Great Hall, which was transformed with a sea of red and pink balloons along with other Valentine Decor just a couple of hours earlier in preparation for the big event.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen, a crew of top-notch volunteers were hard at work frosting cupcakes and decorating cookies, while others were baking up all sorts of hearty hors d'oeuvres-- ranging from flatbread pizzas to buffalo wings and even a few veggie & dip platters-- to keep the crowd fed.

Each year, the "Cha-Cha Slide" is a hit with dancers of all ability levels...

All the food went to good use, as everyone worked up an appetite on the dance floor. Most impressive than the quantity of food or number of balloons, however, was the amount of smiles and laughter displayed throughout the evening.
