The Neighborhood House
The Neighborhood House has been many things to many people since its doors opened in 1905. In those hundred-plus years, the Town of Mount Desert has certainly gone through a plethora of change, as too has The Neighborhood House itself. One thing that has remained the same, however, is the mission of The Neighborhood House and the important role it plays within our community.
The vaudeville performances and bowling lanes from years past may have long since been superseded by community celebrations, yoga classes, and the like; but the spirit with which it was founded remains the same. In fact, today, The Neighborhood House offers more programs and events than it has at any other point in its long history.
Back to School, and Back to NHH Youth Club
It's hard to believe, but Fall is here, and as the kids head back to school, it means it's also the start of another season of the NHH After School Youth Club. The popular program, open to all children in grades K+, launhes for the year on Tuesday, September 2nd, and will continue to run eveyr Monday-Thursday throughout the school year.

Monday, Nov. 24- Thanksgiving Outdoor Adventure & Crafts for Kids (9am-4pm)
Wednesday, Nov. 26- Youth Field Trip to ME Discovery Museum (9am-4pm)
Thursday, Dec. 4 - Community Cafe (11:30am-1:00pm)
Friday, Dec. 12 - Northeast Harbor Christmas Festival
