The 18th Annual Bike Parade & Ice Cream Social was held on Wednesday, August 8. Children of all ages gathered on the lawn of The Neighborhood House to deck out their rides with streamers, balloons, stickers, flowers, bows, and all sorts of other fun items. Island Connections will be hosting a performance of "Love Letters" on Thursday, August 23rd at The Neighborhood House. The play, which was a Pulitzer finalist for drama, will be performed by Chloe Hatcher and Ephron Catlin, will begin at 6:15. On Thursday, July 12, over 300 guests gathered at Abel's Yacht Yard on Somes Sound for the 3rd Annual Bash at the Boatyard. While the event serves as a fundraiser for The Neighborhood House, it also provides an opportunity to gather and celebrate our community in a fun and laid-back atmosphere.
For the third straight year, the party was held on the shore of Somes Sound with idyllic views of the water and western mountains. Mother Nature cooperated as well, providing a perfect summer evening.Read More
