Mt. Desert 365 Hosts Community Cafe and Young Musicians

A large crowd arrived to break bread, and some musicians arrived and broke a leg. That was the scene Thursday, April 4th at The Neighborhood House when Mt. Desert 365 hosted the Community Cafe and the Mt. Desert Elementary Music Dept. arrived to put on a show.

More than 140 guests enjoyed homemade quiche, salad, and dessert along with an amazing jazz performance courtesy music teacher Heather Graves and her talented students. The large crowd took in several songs by the full band along with smaller groups, and stuck around to socialize.

Special thanks to Mt. Desert 365 for generously sponsoring lunch, the Mt. Desert Elementary music department, and Old Dog Baking Company for providing the amazing bread. There’s just one Community Cafe left for the season— Thursday, April 18— so if you missed the fun today, we hope to see you then!

MD365 Executive Director Kathy Miller, Communications Manager Alex Birdsall, and Board member Rodney Eason helped with kitchen prep in anticipation of the large crowd of about 140.
