SUMMER CAMP & CLUB PROGRAMS
Summer fun for children pre-K to Jr. High
One reason our Summer Camp Program has become so popular over the years is our simple philosophy - at the end of each day, we want every camper to look forward to returning. While the statement in itself is a simple one, the means needed to achieve it are actually quite involved.
The Neighborhood House focuses on providing a warm and comforting familial setting for each camper, and to do this, we exceed all state mandated staff-to-child ratios. Not only does this mean that there are plenty of counselors around to lead activities and make your child feel welcomed, but it also provides for an overall safer environment as well.
Additionally, while we focus on making summer an educational and adventurous experience for each camper, we also realize that most of them just wrapped up a long and tedious school year. Therefore, another priority is on providing a relaxing setting for each camper to explore and share their own interests, and discover new ones as well.
SCAMPER CAMP

Scamper Camp: Our popular Scamper Camp program offers children a great opportunity to begin to build socialization skills with children their own age, as well as partake in imaginative and group play, arts & crafts, swimming, and outdoor fun in a warm and familial atmosphere. A healthy morning and afternoon snack is also provided for Scamper Campers.
EXPLORER CAMP
Junior: entering grades 1 & 2
Senior: entering grades 3 & 4

 Explorer Camps: Our Explorer program is divided into two age groups - Jr. Explorer & Sr. Explorer, providing all participants with age-appropriate games, activities, and outings. The Jr. Explorer program gives younger campers enough structure to allow them to thrive, while the Sr. Explorer program provides "more experienced" campers with new games, activities, and outings on a daily basis, as well as Friday morning Sailing instruction at the NEH Sailing School. All of our Explorer Campers utilize the Municipal Pool on a near daily basis as well.
QUEST CLUB

Quest Club: This program designed for older campers is entering its ninth year, and continues to provide children the chance to take part in a safe and supervised program, while at the same time allowing them a great deal of input into their daily ativities. A typical day at Quest Club will include hiking, swimming, and various outings around the Island. Participants also are able to take advantage of Friday morning sailing instruction at the NEH Sailing School.
