THE NEIGHBORHOOD HOUSE STAFF
Anne-Marie DeRevere, Executive Director
Originally hired to fill the position of Program Director in 1998, Anne-Marie moved into the role of Executive Director in the spring of 2001. During her time at The Neighborhood House, Anne-Marie has assisted with the oversight and implementation of numerous programs and events that have helped revitalize the organization.
Heralding from Brewer, Maine, Anne-Marie holds a B.A. in Sociology from the University of Maine at Orono, and began working with children while still in high school. Although she enjoyed great success with her endeavors prior to joining The Neighborhood House team, her love of the outdoors and beauty of the coast brought her to Mt. Desert Island, where she currently resides in Northeast Harbor.
Matthew Hart, Program Director
Matt took on the role of Program Director at The Neighborhood House in the fall of 2001. Prior to coming to The Neighborhood House, Matt gained experience working for the Brewer Parks & Recreation Department in several capacities, and also spent time working for a Bangor agency assisting with employment for teenagers and adults with mental and physical limitations. Matt's first experience with The Neighborhood House actually came in 2000, when he was employed as a summer camp director.
Matt is originally from Brewer, Maine, and is a 2000 graduate from The University of Maine, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science. Matt enjoyed time spending weekends in Northeast Harbor on family vacations as a child, and now resides their on a year-round basis.
Nicole Pelletier, Program Coordinator
Nicole has been involved with The Neighborhood House in one capacity or another since she first started as a Summer Camp Director in 1999. Nicole continued to be a fixture at The Neighborhood House while pursuing a Sociology degree at The University of Maine, finally coming back in a full time roll in the winter of 2004. Nicole's energy and creativity continue to be a valuable asset to the organization.
Growing up in Orrington, Maine, Nicole gained a great deal of experience working as a camp counselor and director, as well as with children with mental health and behavioral issues. Prior to moving to Northeast Harbor, where she currently resides, Nicole also spent time as a nursery school instructor while residing in Portland.
